咀嚼検出デバイスを用いた食感拡張システムの提案 (Augmented food texture rendering system using chewing detection device)

概要

We aim to provide a new eating experience, and developed an augmented food texture rendering system using the chewing sound, based on a cross-modal effect. In our system, user's chewing sound is recorded in real time, pass through a filter, and feedback to himself. Using the system, the user feels augmented food texture to create a cross-modal illusion. Bite-detection sensor measures the movement of the lower jaw, and the system can distinguish chewing and talking events. By this sensor, the system can feedback only the timing of chewing and user can enjoy augmented food texture in daily dining environment.
