視覚効果による触感覚提示機能を備えた拡張現実システムの開発 第一報：視覚効果に誘発される粗さ感および硬軟感 (Augmented Reality System for Generating Haptic Sensations Using Visual Effects / Report 1:Roughness and Softness Perception Caused by Visual Effects)
This paper introduces a new method for generating haptic sensations in augmented reality environment without expensive haptic devices. In this method, virtual surfaces which simulate roughness and softness are rendered in 3D, and combined with real-hand images. Building a prototype system, visual effects, experimental evaluation of basic tactile perception are presented. It is shown that users can recognize changes of roughness or softness with this method.
